Our Purpose
At TES, our purpose is to prepare students not only for academic success, but for the future beyond the classroom. Being future-ready means developing critical thinking, confidence and the ability to learn and work with others. Through exploration, meaningful practice and cooperative learning, we support and equip students with the mindset and skills to adapt, communicate and thrive in an ever-changing world.

The Explorers’ Space was founded by passionate educators who believe every child deserves personalised, future-ready learning. Drawing on years of experience as Subject Heads, Assistant Year Heads and NIE-trained teachers, we recognise the value of providing students with more targeted support, deeper engagement and opportunities to explore at their own pace and space. This inspired us to create a nurturing space where learning is differentiated, joyful and driven by curiosity.
At The Explorers’ Space, we blend strong pedagogy with a belief that learning should be meaningful and motivating. Our programmes are designed around the 3C framework - Cognition, Collaboration, Communication - helping every chid develop academic mastery while building essential future-ready skills. We also provide personalised support beyond the classroom because real progress happens when children receive timely guidance, regular feedback and encouragement that builds resilience and confidence.

Our Core Team
Mr. Alvin Chow
Co-founder
Mr. Alvin Chow is a passionate Mathematics educator with over 15 years of experience in both mainstream schools and private tutoring. Driven by a deep commitment to helping students truly understand and appreciate Mathematics, he pursued a Master of Science (Mathematics for Educators) to further deepen his expertise in teaching and learning.
An NIE-trained teacher and recipient of the Singapore Mathematical Society Book Prize, he specialises in differentiated instruction, conceptual teaching, and assessment literacy.
Alvin has served as an Assistant Year Head (Internal) and Subject Head of Mathematics, where he supported student well-being, mentored teachers, and led curriculum development.
Recognised with multiple Caring Teacher Awards, he is known for his positive influence, structured guidance, and ability to nurture confidence in learners of all levels.
Ms. Cheryl Khoo
Co-founder
Ms. Cheryl Khoo is an NIE-trained educator with more than 15 years of teaching experience and multiple nominations for the President’s Award for Teachers.
As a former Assistant Year Head (Internal) and Subject Head of Partnership and Engagement, she is deeply attuned to students’ academic and emotional needs and works closely with parents to bring out the best in every child. Cheryl is known for her engaging lessons and strong rapport with students and parents.
Her dedication to service excellence earned her the MOE MSEA Gold Award and Outstanding Youth in Education Award (OYEA). She brings passion, empathy and purposeful mentorship to every lesson, inspiring students to explore, grow and reach their fullest potential.
